The Methodist Hospital residency program is managed by a faculty consisting
of experienced medical professionals. Their guidance and expertise have

Thaddeus R. Salmon, DO
Director of Medical Education
Dr. Salmon has been an Emergency Medical Physician at Methodist Hospital
since 2000. Dr. Salmon brings 25 years of experience to the Methodist
Hospital Osteopathic Family Practice Program. Dr. Salmon is a graduate
of the University of Kentucky and Kansas City University of Medicine &
Biosciences. He completed an Osteopathic Rotating Internship and General
Practice residency at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Dr. Salmon is licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio. He is Board Certified
by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and the
American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). He is past president
of the Kentucky Osteopathic Medical Association.
Salim Akrabawi, MD
Associate Clinic Director
Dr. Akrabawi has been an Emergency Medicine physician with Methodist Hospital
since 2000. He is a graduate of the American University of Beirut with
a Bachelor of Science degree and a graduate of the University of California
with a PhD. He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine
in 1977 and completed his Internship and Residency at Vanderbilt University
Medical Center in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Akrabawi holds a Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
