Sleep Lab Finds a New Resting Place

The Neurodiagnostic lab, better known as the Sleep lab, has found a new home in the former OB/NIcu/Nursery labor and Delivery suites. These spacious rooms are used to monitor and diagnose patients suffering from sleep apnea. Attempting to get some shuteye while hooked to a series of wires and machines may not be the easiest task. However, these procedures identify life threatening conditions and enable the patient to receive the therapy and equipment needed to get a good nights rest.
In addition to the four sleep testing rooms, the new Sleep lab area also has a monitoring station with the latest software programs where the technicians keep an eye on patients during their procedures. There is a dictation station for neurologist, Dr. Michael Mayron, and pulmonologists, Dr. Kuldeep Pandit and Daniel Henry, to complete patient charting and reporting. There is also a pulmonary function testing booth where technicians can evaluate a patients lung capacity.
The Sleep lab staff is settling in to their new accommodations and are ready to help patients get
some much needed sleep. To figure out why you cant sleep, schedule an appointment with our Sleep lab by calling (270) 827-7474.
