Connie Skinner, APRN, Joins Methodist Hospital Sebree Clinic

SEBREE, KY - Methodist Hospital is pleased to announce a partnership with Connie Skinner, APRN, to provide primary health care to the people of Sebree. Beginning January 3, 2012, Ms. Skinner will work as a Nurse Practitioner at Methodist Family Medicine Sebree located at 47 West Webster Street. Ms. Skinner and two of her current employees, Mark Chandler, CMA, and Holly Cardwell, RN, will join MFM Sebree employees, Judy O'Nan, RN, and Terri Edwards at the Methodist facility.

"We are very excited to welcome Ms. Skinner to the Methodist team," says Methodist Hospital CEO, Bruce Begley. "She is a known and respected medical provider in the Sebree community and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with her to continue providing compassionate, high-quality patient care."

Ms. Skinner says, "I am looking forward to this new chapter in my professional career and am thankful for the support of my staff members, patients, and the Methodist organization."

Dr. Nhan Nguyen, who has provided interim coverage at the Sebree location since September 2011, will continue to see patients one day a week while maintaining his primary practice at Webster County Family Medicine in Dixon, KY.

Ms. Skinner will continue to see patients at her current office (Sebree Clinic on Hwy. 56) through the end of calendar year 2011. Anyone interested in scheduling appointments with Ms. Skinner or Dr. Nguyen for January 2012 or later may do so by calling Methodist Family Medicine Sebree at (270) 835-7541.

The Sebree Medical Center first opened on June 25, 1984, following a community-wide fundraising campaign. The campaign was organized through the Henderson Regional Hospital Foundation (HRHF) in great cooperation with the Sebree Medical Center Board of Directors and the Sebree community. Upon completion, the facility was dedicated in memory of Brenda Lee Brooks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Texal Brooks. Mr. Brooks served as Chairman of the Sebree Medical Center Board of Directors and major contributor to the fundraising campaign. The HRHF has maintained the medical facility and ensured physician services at that location for the past 27 years.
